Modal verbs are special verbs that can not be used without accompanying a normal verb. However, -
Modals have present and past forms but are not necessarily used for present or past events.
Modals do not take "-s" in the third person.
We use "not" to make modals negative.
Verbs followed Modals should always be in present simple form.
Some common Modal Verbs:
Can, Could, May, Might, Ought to, Shall, Should, Must, Will, Would, Have to
e.g. I can swim.
You should be here by now.
They might not know the answers.
He will can go with you.(Wrong)
She should studied hard last year. (Wrong)

Q: What English standard is required from me to apply for general English Courses?
A: For adult courses, there are no strict English standards required from an applicant. It depends only on individual courses that he/she wishes to apply. The courses are usually classified as elementary, intermediate and advance level. Generally, according to Hong Kong education system, elementary is suitable for someone with about F.1-F.3 English level. Intermediate is suitable for those with F.4-F.5 English level, and advance is suitable for those with English level of about F.6 to University.

Q: What are the qualifications of your teachers?
A: Our teachers are well qualified and specialized in their teaching areas. For example, teachers who are responsible for English courses own TESOL or TEFL teaching certificates and have at least University qualification. We also require teachers to possess professional attitudes and skills toward their duties as stated in our ASK statements for teachers.

Q: Do you have courses other than English offered regularly?
A: Besides English courses, we have other courses relating different subject areas such as marketing, health, personal development and so on. Some courses may not be opened regularly. Please keep close contact with us to be informed with the most updated courses schedule.

Q: After finishing a course, can I get a public recognition?
A: Students are welcome to apply for a public examination to earn a specific certificate for recognition. Some of our courses will assist students in taking public examinations. Students can choose if they will apply for some public examinations themselves. Generally, attendance certificates issued by us will be granted to students who reached our course requirements.

Q: Could you tell me more about your online courses?
A: Our online courses are hosted on the web sever for students who have enrolled in some of them to attend. The students can login their personal account and attend the courses and submit the assignments anytime they are available in front of their computers. This learning mode can save the students' time and money. The students can also review the courses repeatedly. Although the learning is performed online, the students will not be lonely as they can communicate with other students and teachers on the perform. In addition to the online learning, admittedly some courses need face-to-face experience in order to make the results of learning effective, we will arrange face-to-face sessions for some courses.
